Congratulations to all residents who became Australian citizens. Congratulations also to the Canada Bay 2008 Citizen of the Year award winners. Citizen of the Year was awarded to Concord resident Alan Wright. Alan has been an active member of the community for many years and serves on a number of community and volunteer groups. Young Citizen of the Year was awarded to eighteen year old Patrick Massarani from Drummoyne. Patrick has contributed greatly to the school and wider community through his volunteer work and leadership activities. Sports Citizen of the Year went to Concord resident Bradley Zalloua. At just fourteen years of age, Bradley has achieved high levels of sporting success. Arts and Culture Citizen of the Year went to Ashley Wing from Drummoyne, who has utilised his creativity and skills in a number of ways to help others. I would like to congratulate all of our winners and thank them for their dedication and hard work.
