Alive What's On 21 Blake Prize in Ashfield ASHFIELD'S Delmar Gallery is again showcasing works from the Blake Prize -- one of the only art prizes in Australia devoted entirely to non-denominational religious art. This exhibition which continues until February 22 features a selection of key works from the controversial 2008 prize including the beautiful and contemplative winning work by David Tucker and the work by Peter Daverington that won the John Coburn Religious Prize for Emerging Artists. Other artists in the exhibition are Adam Cullen, Allan Giddy, Robert Malherbe, Polly Joannou and Bronwyn Bancroft. Top Gear Live is described as an action-packed 75-minute live version of the award-winning BBC TV series. ''We've turned your motoring television show into the most spectacular motoring theatre show in the universe,'' said Jeremy Clarkson modestly. ''We'll be taking all the best bits of Top Gear, and ambitiously attempting them live in our action arena.'' Clarkson, who's written off some of the world's most expensive cars in the course of the series, is famous for such quotes as: ''We all know small cars are good for us. But so is cod liver oil. And jogging.'' His sidekick, Richard Hammond, is a Porsche enthusiast who currently owns a left-hand drive Porsche 911, a Dodge Charger, two Land Rovers, a Suzuki GSXR1000, a BMW 1150 GS, a Harley Davidson, a Ducati 1098, the abandoned Porsche 911, a Morgan V6 Roadster, a 1968 Mustang and several Kit cars. Phew! Petrol-heads will adore this show.
