I am the hunter NSW Game Council chairman Robert Borsak is an advocate of hunting. Picture: BRENT McGILVARY ~PP252960 FIONA BRADY SINCE becoming the face of a pro- hunting campaign, Robert Borsak has found himself in the firing line more than once. ''I've had a couple of s---ty letters from people,'' the feisty chairman of the NSW Game Council said. ''If stupid fools want to write me threatening letters, bring it on . . . I don't care.'' Given the stereotypes about hunters, it may surprise strangers to discover Mr Borsak is actually an Ashfield accountant. To his friends, there are no surprises about his passion as there are dozens of ''dead giveways'' in his billiards room. But he says hunters come from ''all walks of life, all trades, all professions''. ''The majority of licensed shooters and other types of hunters, bow hunters and dog hunters live in Sydney,'' he said. ''It is really not much different to people who go fishing.'' The advertising campaign was dreamt up by the NSW Game Council to sell game hunting li- cences. And it is working, with the state government agency report- ing a 77 per cent rise in licence sales in January, 2009, compared with the same month last year. ToPage2
