Held on Sunday in McIlwaine Park at Rhodes, Bay Day's theme was tea and its popularity around the world. A traditional Chinese lion dance kicked off the afternoon's entertainment, which also included gypsy and jazz music performances and a Charleston dance competition. Festival goers sampled teas from all over the globe and some even had their tea leaves read. There were also traditional Chinese tea ceremonies, food stalls, children's tea parties and, of course, a cup-and-saucer ride. About 3000 people attended, Canada Bay Council said.
