That’s the hope of the witty acting troupe which will test its skills in theatresport and impromptu sketches. One of the players, Glebe resi- dent Jessica Mallett, said she enjoys the thrill of spontaneous performance. ‘‘Doing improvisation can be semi-terrifying, but I get a rush because I don’t know what’s going to happen,’’ Mallet said. ‘‘It’s about trusting your instincts. Mallet’s background in impro- vised theatre took flight with Scared Scriptless, a Friday night show at the Roxbury Hotel in Glebe. ‘‘I’ve been at Scared Scriptless for about a year now and its such a rush,’’ she said. Directed by Ewan Campbell and produced by Avril Vorsay, the players take audience suggestions and perform using their instincts. ‘‘The audience enjoys the idea that anything can happen, and you know it’s good improvisation Sunday’s show is run by Impro Australia, a not-for-profit organisation that explores the skills and craft of improvisational theatre. Mixed, Shaken and Stirred will show at the Belvoir St Theatre, 25 Belvoir St, Surry Hills, on Sundays from 8.30pm until August 16.
